For Returning Citizens

We support returning citizens during the critical weeks after returning home by helping them navigate complex systems, connect to essential resources, and meet supervision or court requirements. Our approach focuses on early support and stabilization to prevent setbacks, reduce crisis, and support long-term success in the community.

Adults Aging Out of Foster Care

We support adults aging out of foster care by providing stabilization, guidance, and resource navigation during the transition to independence. Our focus is on meeting immediate needs, connecting individuals to housing, employment, education, and community supports, and helping prevent crisis during this critical period.

Your donation supports early intervention services for homeless adults, adults aging out of foster care, and justice-involved adults during high-risk transition periods. Without timely support, the first weeks following release, displacement, or aging out carry a significantly higher risk of homelessness and crisis.

Individuals experiencing housing instability

We support individuals in accessing short-term transitional housing and appropriate shelter options through trusted community partners and assist with planning and referrals toward longer-term housing stability.

True To You Outreach began with a simple but urgent belief:

People navigating homelessness and major life transitions deserve real support, not judgment or delays. True to You Outreach has been committed to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and reentry challenges in Cumberland and surrounding counties in North Carolina. This effort has grown into a focused approach to support people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Working with returning citizens who are navigating reentry challenges, experiencing housing instability, or struggling to regain direction, has guided us towards more untraditional methods, removing barriers and of removing barriers and providing services. Our approach is personal, non-clinical, and grounded in compassion, integrity, and consistency. We take the time to meet people where they are, help them find resources, and move forward without everything falling apart.
